Booking is open online for student involved learning conferences. Please book a time to come discuss your child's progress with me on Thursday night or Friday. There is no school for students on Friday because of conferences. Many of last week's basic facts quizzes still haven't been signed and returned. Book fair is on until Friday. Our class will visit book fair tomorrow and you can also go during student involved learning conferences. November's school spirit day is tomorrow and is "reverse day" - teachers can dress as students and students can dress as teachers. Theatre field trip forms and payment are due by Friday. The Reading... Give It a Shot program is still going on so make sure to return reading logs in exchange for hockey cards.
Morning recap:
This morning after music, we had a bit of time to catch up on The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe work before starting fractions in math. Today we jut did a pre-test to show what we remembered about fractions from last year. This will allow us to see what we need to focus on in this unit. If we finished early, we helped put papers in our math and LA folders. We headed to the pool for our last day of swimming lessons and then came back and continued doing LWW work or organizing our folders for the few minutes before lunch. Swimming reports should arrive at school in a few weeks and will be sent home with students as soon as we receive them.
