Outdoor school forms should have gone home this afternoon with students whose families did not attend last Thursday's information session. Forms are due back by the end of February. Please contact us with any questions about outdoor school. Ratios unit tests need to be signed and returned. Our next basic facts / computation quiz is on Wednesday. Math night is Thursday from 6:00 - 8:00.
Morning Recap:
This morning after ignite, we caught up on unfinished work from last week or did read to self or someone. In math, we did a practice basic facts / computation quiz. We went through the answers together and marked our own work so that we could review the process. The practice quizzes can be used to study for Wednesday's real quiz. In language arts, we finished up our notes on narrative writing by talking about revising and editing. Then we looked at an example of a level 3 story. We went through it in sections to look at each part of the story. We took a break for gym and went over some expectations for the story we are going to be writing over the next couple weeks. We talked about how we will need to do multiple drafts and that we are expected to show the revisions and edits we make throughout the process. We also looked at the planning pages we're going to start filling out tomorrow.
