Messages and Reminders:
Our next basic facts / computation quiz is tomorrow. SJAM orientation field trip forms are due back for Thursday afternoon's trip. Outdoor school forms are due back this week - we need to know if students will not be attending outdoor school, so please send us an email. Please look over, sign, and return integer quizzes, ratio unit tests, and basic facts quizzes from a couple weeks ago. Wednesday is pink shirt day - see http://www.pinktshirtday.ca/why-pink-t-shirts.html for more info about this day. Friday is the February pillars of care assembly - notes went home with our winners today.
Morning Recap:
This morning after ignite, we had a quick session with the laptops so we could work on our stories. We have decided that stories will be due at the end of next week, but we will not be working on them much in class after this week. After putting our stories away, we wrote a practice basic facts / computation quiz to prepare for tomorrow's real quiz. Today's quiz also included a bonus page of integer questions for practice, but this will not be on tomorrow's quiz. If we finished early, we worked on last week's order of operations booklets. After gym, we filled out ballots to nominate our classmates for this month's pillars of care awards. When everyone was done, we tallied the votes and announced the winners.
