Messages and Reminders:
Our next basic facts / computation quiz will be on Tuesday. Please look over, sign, and return integer quizzes, ratio unit tests, and basic facts quizzes from a couple weeks ago. SJAM orientation field trip forms are due back for Thursday afternoon's trip. Outdoor school forms are due back by the end of February - we need to know if students will not be attending outdoor school, so please send us an email. Wednesday is pink shirt day - see http://www.pinktshirtday.ca/why-pink-t-shirts.html for more info about this day. Friday is the February pillars of care assembly - notes will go home with our winners early next week.
Morning Recap:
This morning we got right into story writing. We will have a few more in class opportunities to work on them and then they will become homework. The due date is likely being pushed back a week to allow for more editing time. In math, we continued working on our order of operations booklets. When buddies came up to see us, we talked about the pillar of the month: understanding. We looked at what it means to be understanding and show empathy. With our buddies, we completed a few activities and did some writing. We ended the morning at gym with all the grade sixes.
